Victor Brian Hobson
Since entering the NFL in 2003, Jets linebacker Victor Hobson has been a tremendous success on and off the field. Ending his fourth professional season with the New York Jets, Hobson recorded 100 tackles, 1 interception and 6 sacks helping lead the Jets to the first round of divisional playoff action. His accomplishments on the field are paralleled with his off the field successes in the community. In Hobson’s speaking engagements and charitable involvement, he has been a role model for young Americans who also have the drive and desire to succeed in their personal and professional lives.
As an avid supporter of charitable causes such as childhood disability, muscular dystrophy, cancer and heart disease, his compassion and dedication to those less fortunate has led him to be one of the most sought after professional sports figures as of late.
In November 2006, at their 17th Annual Celebrity Gala, The Star Light Star Bright Children’s Foundation which benefits children and families coping with chronic illnesses, injuries and conditions, honored Victor for his time, energy and involvement with their organization over the past year. “A role model is more than a position, it’s an honor”, Hobson states. “The honor for me is that I can continue to be put in positions where I can not only make a difference in my family life, but in the lives of others as well.”
With his charismatic smile and energetic presence, Victor Hobson brings more to the table than could be expected. During what may be the most crucial time of a professional football player’s career, Victor plans to maintain his community involvement as well as prepare for what will be his most exciting season yet.
